50% for good
I originally became interested in photography because I wanted to take nice pictures of food.
I thought my photography career would peak at pizza bagels and donuts—there were zero plans for photos to (accidentally) monetize into a small business. I’m still humbled every time I head to a photo gig that I get paid to hang out with cool people, to witness and capture some of their biggest milestones.
For a while, photography allowed me to afford rent in San Francisco while working for a nonprofit. Now that I'm able to save for myself, I'd like to use a portion of my photography income to support organizations working for a more equitable world.
For every photo session in 2020, I'll donate 50% of net proceeds to charity:water.
